![]() I only deducted a star because of the prices. It was HUGE! She couldn't finish it after eating half though because the cocoa cake started tasting too chocolate-y for her. The Pockys make it look really cool and he orders it every time we're here! We took his sister once and she ordered a deluxe dessert, the Chocolate Raspberry Sin (warm cocoa cake, vanilla and chocolate cream, raspberries, and hot fudge). My boyfriend loves the Samurai sundae (green tea and chocolate ice cream with chocolate dipped Pockys). I think both sundaes are delicious, especially the Dharma! The red beans and honey are amazing additions to the green tea ice cream without making it overly sweet. I recently tried the Dharma too (green tea and vanilla ice cream with Azuki red beans and honey) and replaced the vanilla ice cream with another scoop of green tea. I usually get the Oracle (mint chocolate chip and vanilla ice cream with Oreos and hot fudge) and replace the vanilla ice cream either with another scoop of mint chocolate chip or a scoop of green tea. The pita was very fresh and amazingly seasoned, and the hummus had a great flavor to it.ĭESSERT: I've only ever ordered their signature sundaes (two scoops served with whipped cream). Yum!įOOD: Get their hummus starter! It's the only food I've ever ordered here, but it was delicious. I'm sure they get assigned sections on busier nights but they work very well as a team and they're all willing to assist customers when they're free even if the table isn't theirs, so feel free to call anyone over if you need something.ĭRINKS: I love their "hot almond", Yumberry fruit tea, and green tea milkshakes with kit kats. The caves and dim lighting make the café a very intimate space which makes it great for dates, but there are also bigger caves to accommodate larger parties. From drinks to food to desserts, they have such a wide variety on their menu that they literally have something for everyone. If you love the ambiance of cafes or if you have a sweet tooth, this is the place for you. I can't believe I've never written a review before. I've been here SO many times in the past. Mushroom salad was nothing to tell home about either.Īll in all, great atmosphere for a date, but don't expect much else. The Hawaiian Pizza we ordered came out to be a measly 7 inches in diameter at best, and looked like a typical grocery store bought personal pizza. Service is slow and spotty we were served by three different waiters during our dinner, all of which came by only after we ostentatiously flailed for their attention.įood is incredibly average and overpriced you definitely pay for the atmosphere. Also, because there are partially hidden alcoves, it is incredibly difficult to pin down your waiter for anything related to your dining experience. Dimly lit spaces means greater difficulty to read the menu. The atmosphere is cozy and secretive with dimly lit alcoves and interesting textural architecture- perfect for snuggling up with your beau without anyone noticing. Archetypus Cafe is a favorite date spot in the area for good reason.
